Editorial policy: how we write, source and update our guides

Our guides explain how account recovery, appeals and removals work on each platform. This page sets out how they are written and checked, so you can judge how far to rely on them.

Who writes the guides

Guides are written and reviewed by Hüseyin Efe, founder of Efe Recovery Services, who has worked on account recovery, appeals and content removal through official platform channels since 2016. Every guide names its author and links to his profile.

The sources we use

  • The platforms’ own help centres and policy pages — Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Snap, LinkedIn, Telegram, Microsoft.
  • Government agencies, regulators and police services.
  • The text of laws and official guidance, such as the Digital Services Act, the GDPR and the US TAKE IT DOWN Act.
  • Recognised non-profit services, such as NCMEC and StopNCII.

Every guide lists its sources at the end and links to them. We don’t build guides on forum posts or unverified claims.

Dates and updates

Each guide shows when it was published and, when it changes, when it was updated. Platforms change their processes often; when an official page changes — a form, a deadline, a menu name — we update the guide and its date.

What we will not publish

  • Ways to get into an account that isn’t yours.
  • Ways around a ban or restriction (ban evasion).
  • “Guaranteed” unlocks or claims of insider contacts at a platform.
  • Fabricated reviews, statistics or case results.

Independence

Efe Recovery Services is independent and is not affiliated with Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Snap, LinkedIn, Telegram or Microsoft. We have no insider access: every route described in our guides is open to you directly, and many are free. Where a free official tool exists, the guide says so.

Not legal advice

Guides on laws such as the DSA, the GDPR or the US TAKE IT DOWN Act are general information, not legal advice. For decisions with legal consequences, talk to a lawyer in your country.

Corrections

If you find an error or an outdated step, email info@eferecoveryservices.com with the page address. We check it against the official source and correct the guide.
