Which X policies actually get accounts removed
X's general report flow is broad and, on its own, rarely decisive. The policies that carry real weight are narrower and evidence-driven: the impersonation and deceptive identity policy, the private information policy (which covers publishing home addresses, phone numbers, ID documents and financial details), the non-consensual nudity policy, which is enforced strictly, and targeted harassment where a pattern of behaviour can be documented.
There is an important exception that catches people out. X explicitly permits parody, commentary and fan accounts as long as they are clearly labelled as such in both the account name and the bio. A clearly-marked parody account is not removable simply for being unflattering — but an account that drops the label, or presents itself as genuinely you, moves squarely into deceptive identity territory.
Getting the policy right decides the outcome. The same account can be un-actionable under one policy and clearly removable under another.

Identity documents are used solely to substantiate the report and are never shared beyond it.

What to realistically expect
Private-information and non-consensual-imagery reports are typically the fastest, because the policies are bright-line. Impersonation takes longer where a parody defence is arguable. Harassment is the slowest, because it needs a documented pattern.
X may suspend an account, force removal of specific posts, or require the account to add a parody label rather than removing it entirely — a partial outcome is a common and legitimate result.

Frequently asked questions
The account says "parody" in the bio. Can it still be removed?
Usually not on impersonation grounds — that label is exactly the exception X's policy provides for. It can still be actionable if it posts your private information, non-consensual imagery, or crosses into targeted harassment, so the specific posts matter more than the account label.
Someone posted my home address. How fast can that go?
The private-information policy is one of the strictest X enforces, and these reports usually move quickly when the evidence is clear. Send the direct post link rather than a screenshot so it can be actioned immediately.
I reported it and nothing happened. Why?
Most likely it was filed under a general category that the automated pass dismissed. Refiling under the specific applicable policy, with the evidence that policy requires, is a materially different submission.
Can you find out who is behind an anonymous account?
No. Deanonymising an account is not something we do, and it is not something platform reporting provides. Where an account is committing a crime against you, that is a matter for law enforcement or a legal process.
